Flash Photography

I was experimenting with my new SB-600 Nikon flash the other day, and managed to catch my cat in action bathing.

Though in college I learned studio lighting, I mainly focused on studying documentary style photography. I have always sworn by natural light, even if it was barely existent. I would open up the lens wide, use a high ISO, or a tripod.

Recently I agreed to photograph my first wedding so I decided it was time I own a professional flash. My goal is to use it without it being noticeable in the photography, by bouncing the light. I think I accomplished it in this shot.
